 GROUP EXERCISE 

 Combine ideas 

Mobile – Electronic device, rectangular shape, multi-colour, multifunction, a device for contacting people, taking photos, surfing internet, recording voice and video, it can be used as music player, video player, etc.
Mirror – hard, made from glass, multi-shape, used as a reflector, used for decoration, furniture and used for building, broken mirror can cause injuries, material for electronic devices.

Combining ideas – mobile and mirror

I decided to combine these two objects because mobile and mirror are stuffs that I always use in daily life. The first idea that came up to my head was just very simple combination which was the change of their appearance. My designs are Mobile-like Mirror which is the mirror that looks like mobile and Mirror-like Mobile, the mobile that comes up in mirror face.

 Mobile-like Mirror 
This is a mirror designed to look like a mobile. I meant to change a common mirror to a smart phone face and it came up as the picture below.

The second design is a mobile that looks like a clamshell mirror. I was inspired by a mirror for girls so I designed it to be a flip mobile phone in girly style with pastel tone colours. It still has functions as any mobile phones but just looks different.

       Recently I'm quite interested in digital drawing and digital painting and I really want to learn how to do that. I was searching for some good tutorials for drawing in Photoshop and I found this video which I think it's a good one, easy (at least it seems quite easy) and very useful for a beginner like me. The tutor teaches how to draw three different modes of eyes which are normal, shocked and stoned with a thorough explanation.  In this video the tutor draws the 3 eyes at the same time and tells how each eye differs in drawing techniques. This is pretty advanced for people who don't have any skills of using Photoshop but easy to understand and follow for those who have used before. :)
